Application Flexibility

FMwand Surgical Tips are easily attached to the end of the FMwand handpiece, and are available in a variety of shapes and lengths. FMwand Surgical Tips can be quickly changed before or during a surgical procedure by simply "snapping" the desired surgical tip into the FMwand Handpiece. All FMwand Surgical Tips and Handpieces are single-patient use only, further reducing surgery set-up time and complexity.

Each FMwand Surgical Tip is pre-configured with a selected loop (the wire loop at the end of the tip). The loop can be used as a spot-coagulator, or it can be used to incise in a scalpel orientation. Alternatively, the loop can be used as a loop resector for hemostatic debulking, providing uniform tissue effect along the entire circumference of the loop. Loops are pre-configured in a variety of shapes and wire diameters that are ideal for use in different surgical procedures. FMwand Surgical Tips are available in several different lengths and sizes. Each tip can be easily removed and reattached to the FMwand handpiece. Each Surgical Tip comes pre-configured with a selected FMwand Loop.

Loops are the dissecting and resecting portion of the instrument. Each loop is plated with a ferromagnetic alloy that instantly heats and cools to provide on-demand thermal energy for effectively cutting and coagulating tissue.
